Oblong casserole dishes and oven trays are very versatile for batch-cooking, but when it comes to storing the results, and for leftovers, you’ll probably find yourself making yet more washing-up by decanting food from an oblong dish into a round one… So frustrating – even if you do have a dishwasher (one that’s not human we mean!). Following the success of our round versions, we’re really pleased to have found these Rectangular Silicone Stretch Lids to solve this kitchen conundrum... Brilliant for oblong dishes, baking trays and cake tins, they can be put onto still-hot dishes and are freezer safe, which makes them perfect for make-ahead meals.
Airtight and leakproof to seal in the freshness
Stretching to provide an airtight, leakproof seal, these waterproof lids can cover all sorts of rectangular dishes. And although they’re oblong, they’re stretchy enough to fit over bowls, oval dishes and even odd-shaped fruit and veg like wonky home-grown marrows.
Easy to use
With strong tabs on each side to help you pull them into place around any container you can be sure the lid is securely sealed, airtight and leakproof as long as the edges sit flat against the sides of whatever you’re storing.
Versatile way to reduce food waste and single-use plastics
Made from food-grade silicone, they’re a great way to reduce both food waste and your reliance on single-use cling film. Ideal for storing food in the fridge or freezer (down to an Arctic -40°C), or carrying a dish of something tasty to reheat for lunch, they’re heat-resistant up to 230°C so they can be popped onto dishes that have just come out of the oven and they’re safe to use in the microwave too – just release the seal on one side.
